What is a reversed transaction?

A reversed transaction is a payment that was authorised but cancelled before it was fully completed or settled.

↩️ A transaction may be reversed when:

  • A merchant cancels the payment

  • A payment attempt fails

  • A duplicate authorisation is removed

  • A transaction cannot be completed by the merchant

When a transaction is reversed:

  • The charge is cancelled

  • Any reserved funds are released

  • Your available credit limit may be restored

Depending on the merchant and payment network, a reversed transaction may:

  • Disappear from your transaction history

  • Appear as Cancelled or Reversed

  • Remain visible for a short period before being removed

You can view the status of all transactions directly in the Monefit Card app.
