Downloading your Tax Report
Before requesting the closure of your SmartSaver Account, we recommend that all customers download a copy of their Tax Report. You can do this by visiting your account's 'Profile' section and selecting 'Tax Report'.
You can easily select your desired date range from there and download the report as a PDF document.
If you have funds in your Main Account
If you have any remaining funds in your Main Account, an automatic withdrawal request will be initiated when the closure process begins. As outlined in our Terms of Use, the funds will be transferred to your active bank account or previously used card within 10 business days.
If you have an active Vault
If you have an active Vault, it must be closed before we can proceed with the account closure process.
By closing your Vault early, you forfeit any accumulated returns. There is also a 30-day cool-down period before your funds are returned to your Main Account balance.
Once the funds have been returned, we will begin the account closure process, which will create a withdrawal request for your full balance.
Once all funds have been transferred back to you, your account will be officially closed in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
