What are the risks associated with SmartSaver?

Every investment involves some risk, but what about SmartSaver?

Updated over a week ago

When you invest with Monefit SmartSaver, your funds are allocated to consumer loans issued by Creditstar Group, a profitable international financial business operating since 2006. Monefit is part of the Creditstar Group.

These loans are carefully managed and tracked to ensure transparency and accountability. However, it’s important to note that Monefit SmartSaver is not a bank, building society, or credit union.

This means your funds are not protected by the financial safeguards typically provided by these institutions, nor are they insured or guaranteed by government schemes.

Investments with SmartSaver are not covered by deposit guarantee schemes under Directive 2014/49/EU or investor compensation schemes under Directive 97/9/EC. The performance of your investment depends on the repayment of these loans.

While Monefit SmartSaver maintains liquidity reserves to meet withdrawal requests, large-scale simultaneous withdrawals could result in delays. In such cases, withdrawals may be processed gradually to ensure fairness for all investors.

Creditstar Group investors have collectively earned over €100 million in returns. Surplus earnings are strategically allocated to building loan loss reserves, covering operational costs, and driving profitability. This sustainable approach strengthens the reliability of Monefit SmartSaver while ensuring long-term viability.

As with any investment, capital protection is not guaranteed. We completely understand that feeling confident in your investment choices is crucial.

To assist you, we’ve prepared a comprehensive Risk Disclosure Statement – we encourage you to read and familiarise yourself with these details to make an informed decision.

We have made every effort to ensure you are fully informed of the risks associated with investing. But of course, if you require any further information, you can reach out to us via Live Chat or Email at [email protected]
